LAPAROSCOPY
TDS Gynaecology is geared towards advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) pelvic surgery. We are proud to be pioneers in the delivery of day case hysterectomy to motivated patients who want definitive treatment of issues such as heavy menstrual bleeding.
Our range of laparoscopic procedures include:
- Total and subtotal hysterectomy
- Removal of ovarian cysts and salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of Fallopian tubes and ovaries) for diagnosis and cancer prevention?
- Myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids)
- Diagnostic laparoscopy and excision of mild to moderate to severe endometriosis (including adhesiolysis, ureterolysis, sigmoid mobilisation, and ureteric stenting)
- Tubal sterilisation (permanent contraception)
- Tubal patency testing (as part of fertility assessment)
ADDITIONAL SURGERIES
We are also happy to offer additional surgical procedures including:
- Diagnostic hysteroscopy and uterine sampling (dilation and curettage)
- Hysteroscopic resection of endometrial polyps and fibroids
- Novasure endometrial ablation
- Insertion and removal of intrauterine contraceptive devices
- Management of miscarriage via vacuum evacuation
- Minor perineal surgery including Bartholin’s gland treatment, vulval biopsy and wide local excisions
- Colposcopy assessment and treatment (LLETZ or cone biopsy) under general anaesthetic
CLINICS
While our clinics are focused on assessment and preparation for day case surgery, outpatient procedures and general consultations are also offered. These include:
- Outpatient colposcopy assessment
- Routine insertion and removal of intrauterine contraceptive devices
- Outpatient endometrial sampling biopsies
- Outpatient vulval biopsy
